Accessibility

Most people arriving here are injured, in pain, on medication, or all three. Building a website that assumes a well-rested person with a mouse would be a strange thing for a pharmacy to do.

What this site does

  • Works with a keyboard alone. Every link, button, menu and form field is reachable by tab, with a visible focus ring, and a skip link at the top jumps past the navigation.
  • Works with a screen reader. Real headings in order, real landmarks, labeled form fields, and alternative text on anything conveying meaning. Decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology rather than read aloud as noise.
  • Respects your settings. Text scales when you enlarge it. Animation is reduced when your operating system asks for reduced motion.
  • Aims at contrast. Body text and interface colors are chosen against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.
  • Is readable on a phone, including one held in one hand by someone in a sling, with tap targets sized accordingly.
  • Does not trap you. No pop-ups that cannot be dismissed, no auto-playing audio or video, no timed content.

What we have not done

This site has not been through a formal third-party accessibility audit, and we are not going to claim conformance we have not had verified. It is built to WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a target using accepted techniques, and it is tested with a keyboard and a screen reader. That is an honest description of where it stands.

At the pharmacy itself

  • Delivery to your home, at no separate charge inside our courier area, if getting to the counter is the barrier.
  • Counselling by phone if you cannot come in, or if speaking at a counter is difficult.
  • Large-print labels and medication schedules on request.
  • Spanish spoken at the counter and on the phone. Tell us in advance if you need another language and we will arrange what we can.
  • Text or email instead of talking, if a phone call is difficult. Text (310) 266-0682 or write to medsonliens@gmail.com and you will get a written reply.

Tell us when it fails

If something on this site does not work with your assistive technology, or you could not do what you came to do, tell us and we will fix it — and in the meantime we will do the thing for you over the phone.

Please say which page, what you were trying to do, and what you were using. We aim to reply within one business day.

Your client is at the pharmacy counter right now.

Call (323) 653-4070, or fax the order to (323) 653-4079. We confirm representation, get the protection letter signed, and the medication goes out the same day — with nothing collected from the patient and no fee to your firm.
